Yoga

Welcome to The Healing Hands Spa Fall/Winter
Yoga Program

Our Gentle Restorative Yoga Program is part of The Healing Hands Spa Healthy Body-Healthy Mind NJ Program.  The Healing Hands Spa’s philosophy of ‘Well Care rather than Sick Care’ and embracing the entire person is very much a part of the Yoga Program.

Classes are small, so that both instructor and student gain maximum benefit from each session.  Registration in advance is required and regular attendance is encouraged so that the instructor can monitor progress thereby helping you achieve your lifestyle, health and fitness goals.

Her words for why yoga…”In 2004, I was diagnosed with tension headaches.  I needed to find an alternative to muscle relaxants, painkillers and STRESS, in order to lead a normal life.  I read that yoga was good for stress and chronic pain so I started taking classes.  My tension headaches were gone within a few weeks.  My instructor always said eventually I would have less pain and more flexibility.  I felt the benefits of a regular practice on my mind, body and spirit.  I was healthier and happier.  I was inspired to share my love of yoga with family, friends and community.  I completed my teacher training at Inner Light Yoga Center in North Brunswick.  I also have a children’s Yoga certificate from Full of Joy Yoga in Connecticut.”

Classes will consist of postures (asanas), yogic breathing (pranayama) and relaxation (svasana).

Mondays and Wednesdays:  7:15pm to 8:30pm
Saturdays:  10am to 11:15am
Cost:               $10.00 per class
Investment:     $60.00 for 6 classes

In yoga, there is no competition. You work based on what your body can accomplish in that moment.  Your accomplishment in class is based on developing a practice that honors your body and trains your mind.

Please bring a mat and wear comfortable clothing.  Please dress in layers. You will get warmer and colder during yoga class.
